Abstract

The study aimed to identify the responsibility of partisan media in preserving Arabic national identity in light of current challenges. The study consisted of an introduction and two axes. The first axis dealt with a theoretical introduction of the national identity in terms of its concept, components, and influencing factors. The second axis dealt with the partisan media in terms of its concept, objectives, functions, and means. It also highlights the environmental challenges that media is faced. The study is included a conclusion and provided several proposals and recommendations. The study reached a number of findings, the most important of which are: Partisan Media races to promote specific political and ideological values, even if it contradicts the values, identities, customs, and traditions of society. Partisan Media selects news and information as negative propaganda against their domestic opponents. Partisan Media seeks to establish values and concepts that are favored by the political elite, with aims of strengthening support and belonging to political party loyalties rather than the nation's loyalties by emphasizing partisan identity. In light of the researcher's findings, it is recommended that: Partisan Media should be obligated to avoid factional, communal, or partisan mobilization that could lead to internal infighting.
