Abstract

The research evaluates grammatical elements in the Farewell Sermon through sentence structure analysis which divides statements into nominal and verbal categories and investigates how grammatical components create text coherence and clarity through emphasis and negation and conditional expressions and conjunctions. The research employs descriptive-analytical methods to evaluate the sermon's sentences based on Arabic grammatical principles for linguistic and

rhetorical interpretation.

The analysis shows that nominal sentences functioned to present facts and legal principles but verbal sentences issued commands together with prohibitions and motivational statements. The study shows that the preacher often employed emphasis tools including inna and syntactic repetition and oath structures to make his meaning clearer and more certain. The sermon- maintained coherence through sentence and paragraph connections which were achieved through conjunctions wa (and) and fa (then) and conditional structures.

The study proves that sermon grammar represents a deliberate linguistic method which serves both to reinforce legal decisions and engage listeners while creating logical connections between causes and effects. The sermon achieves both rhetorical excellence and linguistic clarity through its grammatical structure while simultaneously displaying the highest standards of Arabic eloquence.

The Farewell Sermon stands as a vital research model within linguistic studies which promotes additional investigations about grammatical structures used in prophetic speech. This research reveals the essential role that grammar plays in classical text analysis because it shows how grammatical tools create meaning and enhance the effectiveness of Arabic discourse.
