The impact of the cooperative learning strategy on improving the spelling skills of third-grade students in the Central Governorate

The study aimed to identify the impact of the cooperative learning strategy in improving dictation skills among third-grade students in the Central Governorate. The study used the descriptive approach and the quasi-experimental approach. The study population was represented by all third-grade students in the Central Governorate. The study sample consisted of (80) third-grade students, including (40) male and female students who represented the control group (40) male and female students represented the experimental group during the second semester of the year (2026-2027). The educational study tools were designed to prepare a list of spelling skills, prepare a teacher's guide, and a test to measure the impact of cooperative learning in developing some specific spelling skills. The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences between the two study groups in favor of the experimental group in the spelling skills under study, which are: (Al-Shamsiya and Al-Qahriyya The tanween, damma, fatha, and kasra), and (the extended ta' and the linked ta'), the strategy is attributed to cooperative learning. The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences between the two study groups in favor of the experimental group in spelling skills as a whole, attributed to the use of the cooperative learning strategy.
