The Semiotics of Colors in poetry of Al-Fazzani

Abstract

The study addresses the semiotics of colors and their dimensions in Al-Fazzani s poetry, where Color emerges in his experience as an active tool for  semantic production. lt transcends a mere decorative function or a transient  descriptive attribute to transform  into a semiotic sign  charged with psychological , political , and  national symbols and connotations.    The poet blended explicit statement with interpretation in his use of colors employing them as aesthetic codes that encapsulate his stances on the universe, homeland, and existence. Consequently, the poem transforms to a visual canvas that highlights the meaning and deepens the impact on the recipient.  The study also reveals  the  color contrasts and imagery that reflect   the poetic self and  the depth of  its creative experience.
